Myriam Cloodt was born in Heerlen (The Netherlands) on the 17th of May, 1974. She studied business economics at Maastricht University and got her Masters degree in 1997. She worked for two years as a lecturer at the Department of Management Sciences. In September 1999 she started working on her Ph.D. project at the Department of Organization & Strategy. The topic of her dissertation is: "Mergers and acquisitions (M&A's) in high-tech industries: measuring the post-M&A innovative performance of companies". Her PhD supervisor is
prof. dr. J. Hagedoorn. During her first PhD-year she also worked as a study counsellor. From July 2004 until May 2006, she was a researcher at the School of Technology Management at the Eindhoven University of Technology. From the 1st of June 2006, she works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Innovation, Technology Entrepreneurship & Marketing
(ITEM) of the School of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences (IE&IS) at the same university.
