Curriculum Vitae

Myriam Cloodt was born in Heerlen (The Netherlands). She studied business economics at Maastricht University and got her Masters degree in 1997. She worked for two years as a lecturer at the Department of Management Sciences. In September 1999 she started working on her Ph.D. project at the Department of Organization & Strategy. The topic of her dissertation is: "Mergers and acquisitions (M&A's) in high-tech industries: measuring the post-M&A innovative performance of companies". Her PhD supervisor is prof. dr. J. Hagedoorn. During her first PhD-year she also worked as a study counsellor. From July 2004 until May 2006, she was a researcher at the School of Technology Management at Eindhoven University of Technology. From June 2006 until July 2017 she was Assistant Professor. From August 2017 until September 2023 she was Associate Professor of Open Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Department of Innovation, Technology Entrepreneurship & Marketing (ITEM) of the School of Industrial Engineering (IE) at the same university. From September 2023 she is a Professor of Strategic Management and Chair of the department of Strategic Management of the Faculty of Management at Open University of The Netherlands.
